I think this is a great website with very accurate information.

We have a website http://www.4garage-doors.com that has a national database of local garage door companies.

I will put a link on our site back to this blog. I think our visitors would get a great use of it.

Wood Doors

The garage door have different model and make by different material. As i know, the MetaL(steel)Garage door is cheaper than other. But the Wood Door is more luxury. You could visit the garage door shop to see by yourself what you like.

As much as I want a wooden door for that classic look. It won't suffice since I am very near the beach, the sea water keeps on damaging our garage door, this article keeps me updated what to consider in replacing. Thanks!

Vinyl garage doors are completely maintenance free. They are scratch resistant. While the initial cost of a vinyl door is greater than doors made of other materials, the long-term cost is lower.

Lakes Garage Doors

What sort of timber are garage doors mainly made from in Canada? Here in the uk Cedar is mostly used as it resists rotting better than any other wood and is relativly light. There are doors made from ply which then have a Cedar facarde but these doors don't stand the test of time.

Hello,

Different types... For low-end wood garage doors, it is "presswood" (e.g.: Massonite). For high-end, solid wood: maple, oak, pine and of course, cedar.

For high-end doors, take a look of this web site: http://www.portesbourassa.com/content.php?content=1
